I was reading a magazine recently and the advertisment said SlimShots were sold in stores such as Walgreens, CVS, and Rite-Aid. Someone needs to correct the ad. I cannot recall the name of the magazine but it may have been Vogue.

@ Sheila - Here is some info I got from the website.
For optimal effectiveness; take two shots per day the 1st week; one shot [9.3 ml container] at breakfast and one shot at lunch. Thereafter, one shot at breakfast should be sufficient. However, response rates can vary for individuals depending on different factors like body weight.
So after the first week you need only to take 1 shot a day. I’m not sure where you read to take it at each meal.
Does SlimShots have any fat in it? I couldn’t tell by the website.

I just purchased a box of slim shots from walmart tonight. I do well with eating correctly and my portion sizes as well as exersize. Im also satisfied when I go to bed. My problem is that I wake up in the middle of the night starved to death, especially when I first start a diet in the first say 3 weeks. My question is can I take this before bed so that I dont wake up hungry?

If you look it up on drugstore.com it lists all the ingrediants and has the nutrition label. It does contain artificial sweeteners. Oddly it’s the same ones as in the new diet drinks, coke Zero and Diet Dr.Pepper Vanilla. I wonder if it is just cheaper to have one of those in the morning.

I have so many allergies to things. Slim Shots is the first thing ever in years that really kills my appetite. I put one in my coffee in the morning, and one in my shake at lunch. My cravings late at night have totally went away. I lost 7 pounds my first week using it…there are no side effects whatsoever…I would know I have such a sensitive stomach. And it doesn’t taste bad at all. I am hoping though they will come out with other flavors besides vanilla, like French Vanilla or Caramel…yes it’s a little expensive but what price do you put on your life carrying the extra weight. The first two weeks I had to use 3 times a day, now I only use twice a day. It totally works for me, first time anything has ever worked with no side effects. You just have to give your body a chance to get use to it.

Not having a weight problem in my younger years, I started gaining pounds when I was living with my in-laws many years ago. Since then, off and on throughout my life, I’ve had trouble with my weight/height ratio. (Short people are more vertically-challenged; it’s a lot easier to ‘put on the pounds’ than to keep them off!) Just tried Slimshots this week. Didn’t realize that I had to take 2 the first week for maximum results. I only tried 1. First 2 days I didn’t notice any changes in my appetite. I started last week and I have been keeping a food journal for the past several months since I started the slim shots you can tell in my food journals I am really actually consuming 30% less. I have lost 5 pounds and 1 dress size in a week in a half. I started taking 2 shots in the am and 1 shot at lunch and I fell full and content its so odd. I grin and bare it because theses shots are sooo nasty tasting to me. But I must say from looking at the food journal I am keeping I I am in between 700-800 cals out of my 1200 cals required. I also noticed I am not snaking as much either.

Because there are suppose to be no side effects, for those of you who say they aren’t noticing a difference, you might consider 2 shots in the morning, if the 1 shot isn’t making a difference in your appetite. This is a response to amy 5/4/08. This product works. I started slim shots 5/27/08. I put one shot in my coffee each morning and i use less sugar because the vanilla flavor is sweet. It curbs your appetite so much that i have to make myself eat. I have never sent a response back regaurding a product, however i felt compaled to tell you that I’m very pleased with the product so far. I would want to see anyone waste money in this economy were all stuggling, but we don’t hesitate when were spending $ on junk food or fast food. I found Wal-Mart to be more reasonable than Walgreens or CVS. I also used a manufacturer coupon. I look at it like this, i’ve wasted much more money on junk food. Slimshots actually works. I have to warn you though, if you have a sensitive stomach like mine you will find yourself feeling a little sick and nauseous. I’m feeling better and better each day and it definately doesn’t take as much for me to get full. It’s obvious. If I try to overeat, I pay for it dearly because my stomach cramps and I remain in discomfort until the food fully digests and nature takes its course. Otherwise, Slimshots are amazing!

I have been reading everyone’s testimony and I am convinced that this product works. I have tried every diet known to man and nothing works continuously. I always lost the weight as long as I was eating someone elses food and paying that extra money or going to those weight classes to get weighed in, and paying of course I lost the weight, I would starve myself to make sure I paid for loosing the weight. Now I’m going to try slimshots and hopefully I’ll get some good results so I can feel good about myself again. I weigh now 215lbs and I’m only 5′4″ and I want to feel good about myself. Hi, Me and my niece bought a box of Slimshots at Walgreens (30 days supply) and split it, well now a day it’s hard to get a products to controll your appetite. If anyone could controll the appetite, it would be easy to eat whatever but less.This product really works, I started with one, drinking it at 9:00am or 10:00am, but I want to do 2, it would be perfect at least for a week, (I started with one to check out the reaction), but at least for me it’s safe. My niece says it’s perfect. I’m 5′4 and weighted 218, so far I’ve lost 4 pounds in four days (214).
I do breakfast, snack,lunch,snack, cornflake/milk(for now until I get my weight, any brand), lots of water. Breakfast and lunch whatever but less. my regular cofee like always(1 a day). Good luck!

looking back at my food journal its very much so that I have in deed ate 30-40% less and when I looked at it I did do alot of days at half the cals psossible not a good idea it looks like I even forgot to eat and write everything to a jolly rancher in mine.

I just tried Slim Shots for the first time. I poured it into my iced coffee (along with my usual sweet n’ low & drop of milk). I’m not sure how well it works yet but I wanted to comment on the taste….it tastes really strange. Sort of an artificial, plastic-y vanilla and it leaves an odd aftertaste. I understand how someone can say it has a “nutty” taste, it sort of does…but I don’t like it at all.
I don’t think I’ll be about to stomach it straight…does anyone have any ideas of what I should try to mix it in that will mask the flavor?

First of all, I agree with LILY. This was my first time trying it.
When I got up, I took one shot on its own. It wasn’t that bad but when I mixed it with an iced coffee during lunch, it tastes really strange. I don’t quite like it.

no Phenylalanine will not raise your blood pressure. It is a warning to persons with PKU that the sweetener has phe in it and could have adverse effect on them
I’m not much of a breakfast or lunch eater but a big nite snacker. To curb these cravings, I take 2 Slim Shots around 4 PM to get me thru the nite. No problems sleeping or indigestion.
I also get my supply from Wal-mart…21 count for $19.95 and use a $3 manufacturers’ coupon. I did find the 30 count at CVS and Walgreens but they were priced at $32…11 cents more per shot. Do the math and you’ll see the WM lesser amount is the best buy.

I just started Slim Shots yesterday. In the morning I noticed that I was hungry but not starving at lunchtime, but at dinnertime, I ate much less and was full and satisfied. My husband brought slim shots for himself, and he didn’t finish them, I picked them up and started using them instead (waste not, want not). I could not believe how fast they work. Sort of scary, I took one for a.m. then at p.m. and they did work. I was really really skeptical, but these are truly amazing. Bought product today and just took my first shot. I hope this product works like many of the other people are saying. I have high blood pressure and can’t take other products with the hoodia and caffeine. I like the taste of this also, not too bad. I started these on Saturday, so its been 4 days. It is a very big difference. I have tried most diets, even Alli (yuk) but this seems to work. There is a definite decrease in appetite. I think the adjustments might be mental, if you like me have an emotional eating disorder and being so “used” to eating. ok got my first box of slimshots today. took the first one this evening. i ordered online from walgreens site as they were only 29.99 a box and you could paypal it, so I felt safer doing that. i will definitely keep informed on progress. I have about 35 pounds to lose. I’m inspired by all the positive feedback here.

I’m 52 yrs old, 5′2″, and while I haven’t weighed myself in a very long time, I would estimate that I am in the 175 range. I have hypothryroidism & have been on Levoxyl for the past 15 years. I am a reformed smoker. The only time I ever seem to lose weight & keep it off is when I’m smoking, and I don’t ever want to smoke again! Weight has been piling on for the last year or so, and I am always hungry, especially at night. After reading all of the blogs, etc, I decided to give Slim Shots a try. Just bought my first box at CVS (on sale this week, 30 count for $29.99 (sales slip says I’ve saved $10, and sale ends tomorrow). Just took my first dose, straight up… not bad, and I agree that it has a somewhat nutty taste. Hopefully, this will work for me! I will post back and let you all know how it’s going. I have been on Slimshots for 2 weeks now. I can definitely see and feel a difference in my clothing. I have found that by mixing the slimshot w/two shots of diet coke, I can just drink it down and tolerate the aftertaste. Thanks to all the great feedback about this product, I purchased it at CVS on sale this week for $29.99 for 30 count plus I had a $3 coupon. I took one Wednesday morning and one in the afternoon at 3 pm. I tried it in my milk and I did not like it. Now I just take the shot and have a drink afterward. It definitely works at curbing your appetite. I eat less (and I am also more conscientious about what I eat) and don’t feel hungry all the time. Thursday I took two more and it was great I wasn’t hungry. I did have a headache both days and wasn’t sure if it had anything to do with the shot. Today is Friday and I tried to take only one in the morning but it definitely was not enough because I felt hungry (no headache?). I snack more at night after dinner so I will continue to take one in the morning and one at 4 pm. I love that in 3 days I lost 2 lbs. I also have been doing Weight Watches and going to Curves three times a week. Slim Shots is definitely helping the weight come off. I hope to lose more by the end of August before my cruise. Ebay sells manufacturer’s coupons. They are for $3.00 off. The sellers are selling about 20 coupons for $1.00. I guess they got them off the newspaper.

I take them straight. I’m still taking 2 a day even though I’ve been on them 3 months - breakfast & lunch. Also, I weigh every day. I bought a nifty scale from Walgreens that is digital for only $10. It gives decimals of a lb., so I can tell if I’ve lost 1/2, 1/8 lb. etc. I also watch my calories. Finding out how many calories are in certain foods makes me not want to eat them.
I have just tried slimshots and they do work!!! I tried Hydroxycut caffeine free but was getting bad headaches. This product is natural and doesn’t have any of the nervous side effects. I have lost about 80 pounds on my own but have come to plateau and I need to jumpstart again. Great product!!!

I just started also. got at Walgreens ($10 off) for $32.00. I really do not like the taste - nutty-plastic-vanilla type after taste.
I put it in milk and it was really nasty. Now I just drink it down real quick and drink or eat something afterwards and it is working. I do feel satisfied and I am not eating as much but the first few days my stomach was a little queasy and I felt I had a lot of gas. However, it did get better.
I started my second week on Sunday. I’ve gone from the 2 per day to one per day. The first week I could see a significant difference in the amount I ate. I felt constantly full. For this week (just taking one per day), I still feel full for hours after I eat breakfast. At lunch, I’m not really hungry so I may or may not eat and I’m not that hungry at supper. I have stopped snacking in between meals and no late night snacking (which was a huge problem for me). I haven’t been on the scales yet. Although I feel better about my food consumption, I’m scared to step on the all-telling scales! I think I’ll wait until I start the 3rd week. I’ll keep everyone posted.
I just tried a shot a few minutes ago…the initial taste isnt bad…but the after taste is awful!
I still dont know if it will work or not….the test will be in a few hours when i normally get really hungry before lunch…
I found that they do mildly suppress my physical appetite, however, the bigger problem for me is that I am an emotional eater - eat out of boredom, sadness, to be social, etc. Unfortunatley, I think most people fall into this category as well, which means that even if you’re not physically hungry, you eat. But for someone who does physically feel hungry all day, I think they would work great.

I’m wondering if you can increase the dosage after awhile. I saw on another website that someone said that it worked for the first week and then it stopped working the second weeks.
This is my 4th day on Slim Shots. I’m certain it’s the placebo effect as I haven’t seen any information to indicate there’s anything in the product that would explain my lack of appetite.

Well I have never heard of this product, I was at walgreens with my husband frustrated because I am 5″1 and 168lbs, I deperatly want to be in the 140’s perferably by the end of the year. Although anything in the 130’s is my goal. I had put the hydroxycut in my basket and he said why are you buying those again when it didn’t work last time…I thought about it and looked on the shelf for something different something that I have not seen before. I picked up the slim shots and plan on starting it tomorrow. I also plan to try and cut back on the high fat high calorie foods and excercise more. I will keep everyone posted.
I started Slim Shots two days ago, and immediately noticed a huge change in my appetite. I know this is working, since I am not hungry or snacking, especially in the evening. I got my box of Slim Shots on 8/29. I was skeptical, but I tried them anyway. they really do work, but the company’s lack of knowledge about the product they are selling, makes me second guess buying another box. I called customer service to ask why it cannot be taken with Alli. They have that posted on their website so I naturally assumed they would know why. Their answer was to “Call my doctor” as was the reps at Alli. I guess “Call your doctor” is the standard response when you don’t know the answer. So, are the customer service reps know anything at all about their product, or are they just trained to take orders?
The product cannot be taken with Alli for a very simple reason. Alli blocks fat absorption. The two main ingredients of this products are oils. Oil is a type of fat. Common sense would tell us that taking a drug that blocks fat would probably block a product that IS fat. You will have SEVERE icky reactions of the coming out the bad end kind just as if you’d eaten a huge deep fried meal with the Alli. Hope this helps with the questions from the Alli users…
I started the Alli diet and Slimshots in the beginning of July (I do not consider slimshots a diet, but more of an appetite curber to make my diet more sucessful), and I have seen fantastic results. They work together great if you need to lose more than just a couple lbs. About mid-way through, I stopped the Alli diet and continued on with the slimshots. While it did curb my appetite, it didnt make me want to eat lower fat amounts. Alli is a fat blocker with side effects that will keep you on your diet (trust me.. read up on it), and helps you change your entire eating lifestyle. I am again taking them together and I look great! Total weightloss so far: 24lbs. As far as exercise, I walk about a mile (at my own pace) about 3 times a week. I’m now 118lbs at 5′0″. I just tried a free shot at Vitamin Shoppe last night. Would you believe it’s a quarter to two in the morning, and I’m still not hungry?!!! I’ve had nothing else today that would suppress my appetite (although I did have a Stacker 2 energy vitamin mini drink…but those 5 hour similar drinks never kill my appetite anyway), so I’m pretty fascinated that something so commercial can work so well. I should’ve taken another sample to test it tomorrow, lol. Nonetheless, I’d say it’s worth the money if you have a hard time coping with unnecessary hunger.

I have also gotten a couple shots that were partially solid. I wonder why that happens? I had one that I had chilled and when I opened it, the top was sort of pudding like. I wonder if it has to do with the temperature they are stored at. Or if they have been too cold at any point.

I just bought these last week. I tried on on Sunday as a trial run to make sure no odd reactions. My start date was Monday 2/23 and wanted to make sure I would be able to take this while at work. I took it at breakfast and could only finish 1.5 pieces of toast. The good news was no odd reactions. I am the queen of stomach probs—–acid reflux being one. Absolutely NO stomach probs.
I officially started Monday with the 2 shot recommended doseage. Totally helped the first day. I was impressed!! Eating good also. Having a 1/2 c of yogart with some granola thrown in for breakfast and my slim shot. Although I dont like the taste I am better just drinking it instead of mixing it. It is weird but I almost have to remind myself to have some lunch. I do the second shot with lunch and I have noticed I eat less at dinner and late night munchies are minimal. Lost 1 pound my first day.

So I am no longer breastfeeding and ready to fit back into my pre-pregnancy clothes again. I just happened to watch a commercial on slim shots and spent the evening researching. With such positive responses, I can’t help but to try slimshots. I am a maid of honor and a bridesmaid in two weddings that are only two weeks apart. I would like to drop at least 10-15 lbs. My question is at 5′1 and a half weighing 158 does anyone think that this might not work. If there is anyone out there who is around my height and weight that has used this product and had good results (not great results) please let me know!
OMG i fell great.I have been taking slim shots for two weeks now and i just got in the scale and i have lost 7lbs. I am also doing pilates. Right now I am enjoynig life and feeling great.Good luck to all my dieting peeps!!!!! I will come back in a week or two to give another update.
This is for Kim. We could be twins, but I am an even 5 foot and started at 160 2 weeks ago when I started Slim Shots. I have lost 4.5 pounds in two weeks. I admit I am not big on exercising, but I love to walk. I live in Minnesota and it is not quite walking weather yet, but I am sure once I get back at it the weight will come off even more. I do find if you stay full longer, and if you eat a tad too much my stomach cramps up. Not totally uncomfortable, but as soon as you feel that feeling coming on while eating stop eating. It is like it will only allow you to eat so much.

After reading all the positive reviews I decided to try Slim Shots. The first day at 10am I ate a small bowl of oatmeal, toast, glass of OJ and a cup of coffee. I put it in my coffee thinking it would mask the taste but didnt like the way it gave my coffee a thinner plasticky taste eww but i have to admit I was not hungry all day till i ate dinner around 5pm and I didnt even crave any sweets in between! I ate dinner and it filled me up till the next morning and even then I really had to wait till I was really hungry to eat.
I only take one shot that seems to work well for my body type! Since then I take slim shots straight i think its not as bad alone rather than mixing it in coffee or food, at least you can enjoy your food and the funny plasicky taste only lasts a few min in your mouth any way. The best thing I love is I dont crave sweets every hr when im home! I definately leaves a full feeling all day in your stomache! I would recomend this product for anyone even trying to lose just a few lbs like i am!
ok so after reading all this im going to go ahead and purchase some of these slimshots to see if they work. Im 160- used to be 175. i had lung surgery and after that my appetite was just wrecked by my pain pills! (in a good way) i didnt eat anything and dropped 15 lbs like that. Well now i dont take them anymore and now ive noticed the scale has come to a halt at 160, so i will give these a try. I will post again after i purchase to reveiw what i think of them…..
Ok, so part 2 of my slimshot review. I bought them last night on sale at a Sallys Beauty Supply and found a pack of 14 for 9.99. Figured it would last a week and i could give them a fair try. Looked good compared to what others are saying they are paying on this site. So i did my first shot at about 5:30 last night to see if it would make a difference with dinner. I still wolfed down my charbroiled chicken burger at 6:30, but not accompanied by anything else - no fries or any crap like that- and i was satisfied. i didnt munch after that, or eat any after dinner desert- i actually noticed i didnt crave anything after that. As i was laying in bed that night i had a quite strange feeling, it was the feeling of satisfaction. No sweet cravings or hunger rumbles. The taste isnt dreamy but it isnt the worst thing ive ever tasted either. Its a bit like almond flavored Mylanta. Its bearable. I dont gag or anything like that after taking it, really not much of an aftertaste. So now i will repost as the slimshot review saga continues.
Hey im back to give you an update i started the slim shots on 3/15 and in just 5 days i lost 8lbs! I’m really excited that ive found a product which is not unhealthy and yet works!!! I still eat a normal healthy breakfast like oatmeal and wheat toast with oj and coffee to keep me going thru the day and i take the slim shot after breakfast and i notice it gives me this weird full feeling literally like 15 min after taking and it lasts all day till dinner. I dont have any urge to eat lunch or even snack in between. I eat healthy at dinner which includes meat, vegetable, and water. My biggest downfall are desserts any kind lol and now i dont even crave it a bit. Slim shots definately fills you up all day. One shot is working well for me. The feedback and testimonials are so uplifting and helps you keep going toward your goal! Will keep you posted my goal is to loose 18 more lbs and reach my 105 goal! I am 5′1 and will be 49 yrs this summer, i dont have any health issues but i want to take good care of my health and eat healthy as i soon enter my golden years:)
Thanks for replying back Bettie, I started taken them almost three weeks ago and I am down 4 lbs (but wasn’t listening to when my body told me I was full) so now I am going to stop eating when I am full and see how that works. I have also started going to the gym. I am still taking two a day! How many are you taking a day?

I am considering purchasing the slim shots tonight after reading all these great reviews. My problem isn’t that I eat all the time, I usually skip breakfast, lunch then evening I finally eat dinner then eat again before I go to bed (usually unhealthy). When i try to eat healthy for example cereal and yogurt for breakfast, then maybe a turkey sandwich with fruit for lunch I find I am more ravenously hungry than when I skipped breakfast and lunch alltogether. So it makes me unmotivated to eat healthy. So I thought if I take the slim shot before eating my healthy meal then I won’t get that spike in hunger and will continue on the healthy eating regime. I don’t know if anyone else has this same issue but i sure feel alone in this at times. I have gained so much weight over the years and I really don’t think I eat a lot it’s mostly what I am eating (drinking too, like sodas).
Ok, I’ve read all the comments and I’ll give it the old college try. Can it really be as simple as this? Dieting is so hard and takes so much mental energy that I just can’t spare. With kids and a demanding job, I need something I really don’t have to think about but that will make my life easy.

Definitely makes sticking to a diet easier. Hunger, and the need to eat, has subsided…when you’re not ravenous, it’s a lot easier to make the healthiest choice! I take one shot about 9, the other around 2. Wish it wasn’t so expensive.

I just tried slim shots. Purched for $20 @ Wal Mart. The taste is so bad I throw up. I force myself to swallow it down to keep from wasting it. I does work. But I can’t handle it. I’ve tried to hide it in drinks, skim milk, diet coke, everything and it over powers what I put it in. Every time I force myself to take it, I start quivering and gagging before it touches my lips. Once I do get it down, I throw it back up. I’m nauseated for hrs, and still can smell and taste it afterwards. I force myself to eat. When I do eat, the food doesn’t taste the same and I can’t finish eating, bc everything smells and tastes like the slim shot. If you can stomach this product. I do recommend it, bc it does control my appettite. Even more than 30%. I was 262 lbs. I’m 240 lbs at this moment after 2 months.

I just bought Slim Shots yesterday at Wal-mart $22 for 21 shots. I tried one last night with dinner, I ate less, but I also tried putting my food on a kids plate. I took a Slim Shot at breakfast, I normally do not eat a big breakfast- so I was fine till about 10AM. I felt like I was going to starve to death. I ate a few nuts for a healthier snack and held off lunch till about 11:30am. I ate a normal lunch. I will try another one with dinner. The box says it can take a few day to work. And it really doesn’t taste too bad. I’ll update in a few days.

I’ve been a big girl all my life. Actually I could not remember a time growing up that I wasn’t bigger than my average agemate. So u can imagine my history with different weight loss products.It got worse when I got pregnant last year and now I’d successfully kept half of my preg.weight after childbirth. I took one shot ( chocolate flavor) straight about an hour ago for the first time and it wasnt that bad for a product with oils & artificial sweetners in it. I’m at 240/5′3 now and its just horrible with low metabolism. I’ll keep u guys posted regarding any changes. Thanks for all the encouragement.
I just bought Slim Shots today. I can’t tolerate anything with caffeine because I’m allergic. So far so good. It was only my first day. I would say I ate a little less. I only took 1 shot today though. I think I’ll try 2 tomorrow. CVS and Walgreens run sales on these shots all the time.

I’ve been on a diet since april 2008 and I’ve managed to lose 43 pounds,but I’m needing to lose about 28 more.I’ve seen the slim shots for over a year now and every time I had money to get it I’d spend it on anything but the shots,so I’ve set aside money this time to buy it,I’m like most of you,I’ve tried all kinds of pills powders and shakes but nothing ever works.So I’ll go buy some either today or tomorrow and update in a week or so.

well, am back as promised. Slimshots is not really some magic potion in a box like some claimed. Well, I can say it curbs the cravings some but that’s it. I kinda have this weird feeling that I need to not miss a meal and be regualr for it to be effective so i stick to my 3 medium meals a day and whenever i feel like munching, i go for some peanuts or non-fat pudding. so far i havent lost any weight, but i’m glad i havent gained any either. i’ll see what happens in a few weeks from now.
Started using Slim Shots about 1 month ago. Not sure if I’ve lost any weight, but my appetite has definitely decreased. I take one at breakfast and one at lunch. Not only is there a vanilla flavor, but here in CT I found it at CVS in chocolate flavor too. The taste isn’t bad — I can tolerate it with no problem. This product works well for me. I have used it for one month and NO excerise…I lost 5.5 lbs (in the first 4 weeks)
