So far, As Seen on TV Network has reported Snuggie social groups, Snuggie pub crawls, and Snuggie parties as well as websites dedicated to pointing out where Snuggie has been found. There are even Snuggie models.

But Snuggie couldn’t really claim to have made it to the big time until today, when Snuggie finally made it to the Mecca of pop culture: Oprah.

On the Oprah Winfrey show, Oprah talked with Snuggie CEO Scott Boilen (via Skype – in theory) about the cuddly craze. Oprah forgave Boilen for being not wearing his Snuggie during the beginning of the interview, but after a few minutes of playful jabs back and forth, Mr. Boilen went on to discuss his creation:

Snuggie is a product that makes people feel warm and comfortable… I think we were the first people to show that you could walk around with a Snuggie…and if you look at all the parodies, that’s what people are doing. They’re walkin’. They’re dancin’. They’re Pub Crawlin’. They’re certainly havin’ fun.

What might have caught peoples’ attention during the segment moreso than Oprah wearing hers or Mr. Boilen orignally not wearing his was that there were people wearing zebra and leopard print Snuggies. As of right now As Seen on TV Network does not know where one can buy an animal print Snuggie, but if they become available, we’ll certainly pass along the information.

Did you say ‘Snuggie Models?
