If innovation and entrepreneurship truly is the key to breaking the United States out of a recession, then the ERA convention was a step in the right direction.

Held at the Paris Hotel meeting and exposition hall along the strip in Las Vegas, NV from September 13-15th, the Electronic Retailers Association D2C gave the world a peak into the next generation of consumer products.

Not only were the inventors displaying their products along the ERA catwalk and during “ERA Theatre”, but they were also lined up around corners to get a chance to be a part of the show’s biggest attraction:  Original Productions and Discovery Channel’s “PitchMen!” crew, who were there to film inventors for Season Two of “PitchMen.”

The “PitchMen!” crew could be found walking around the show filming star Anthony Sullivan as well as in their three locations. One of their locations was in booth #501, where online direct response leader livemercial was also running their “Pitch It to the Pros” promotion during the entire two days the convention floor was open.

“Pitch It to the Pros” gave inventors the chance to display their inventions online as the promotion was shown live on streaming video via UStream. Online viewers were also able to see the “Pitch It to the Pros” on livemercial.com, blog.livemercial.com, as well as the As Seen on TV Network blog.

Pitches inventors gave to Pitch It to the Pros were also recorded on film with multiple cameras so the content could later be edited and uploaded to YouTube. This way the inventors will have mementos of the experience as well as a video resume they can use to show other prospects or post to their website.

As Pitch It to the Pros’ Jennifer Crawford surmised:

“We’re lucky enough to have these events and be in these fortunate positions because of the inventors: their dedication, their stories, their risks. These inventors who sacrifice much of themselves for their ideas are the reason I get to stand here today.” - (source - blog.livemercial.com)

With inventors like the ones found at ERA this past week, the chances of the nation recovering from its worst recession since the 1930s become much more favorable.
